KOINOBORI

Welcome to the fascinating world of koinobori! Immerse yourself in this experience as you explore the beauty and tradition of colorful Japanese kites. In this game, you will have the opportunity to design and customize your own koinobori flagpole and embark on a journey through Japanese culture. Are you ready to let your dreams fly high like koinobori in the sky?

Koinobori is a game for 2-5 players of all ages, a game that will be enjoyed by everyone from the most casual player to the most expert player. In the game, players will play Koinobori cards visibly on the common festival poles and hidden on their own personal poles. At the end of the game, everyone will score points based on the Koinoboris with the most presence on the festival poles. The more Koinoboris of the same color you have on your pole, the more points you will earn.

Playing cards on your own mast at the beginning of the game increases your skills, but it also increases the risk of having less information on the festival masts. Similarly, if you wait too long to play cards on your mast, your chances of influencing the festival masts decrease. Finding the right balance and keeping an eye on your opponents will lead you to victory.

Koinobori could be summed up as a hidden betting game on your personal flagpole with visible majorities on the festival flagpoles. A fresh and fun concept perfect for a game of this kind.

Observe which cards the other players take and what their intentions are, take advantage of them, or try to sabotage them with your skills and your own cards. The free actions of certain Koinobori cards accentuate the interaction or your ability to modify the presence of different colors on the festival poles.

Koinobori feels like an easy-to-learn, fast-paced game, but with a lot of depth when playing each card.
